Service Description
Sport Sea Skipper License (SSS) Are you ready to further develop your nautical skills after the Sport Coastal Skipper License (SKS)? The Sport Sea Skipper License (SSS) opens the next door on your way to becoming an experienced skipper. The SSS entitles you to drive yachts under motor and sail in coastal and open sea waters: all seas worldwide up to 30 nautical miles from the coast and on all European seas without restrictions. Perfect for all those who want to expand their sailing area and travel in international waters, or are thinking about starting a business. We always do our practical trips where the wind, weather and sun are at their best. During the winter months, therefore, we mainly sail in the Canary Islands and in spring/summer/autumn in Croatia, Italy, Greece and Mallorca. We usually sail with 4 to a maximum of 6 people on well-maintained charter and owner yachts. In addition to training, we also want to create the right holiday atmosphere. In the practical exam, the theoretical knowledge of driving a yacht in coastal waters must be implemented and applied. In detail, the following is required: - Seamanship - Rescue maneuvers - Emergency management - Handling the yacht - Technology on board - Navigation - Paper nautical chart/nautical literature - ECS - Radar - Meteorology The requirements of the SSS practical exam are significantly higher than for the SKS and so all maneuvers must work the first time. That is why you should have gained sufficient practical experience before the practical trip. It is certainly also an advantage if you have already taken the theoretical exam. Great importance is placed on crew management. That is why we practice all maneuvers, commands and feedback until they are perfect. Another new building block for the SSS is how to use the radar. We will practice operating the radar, interpreting the radar image and also navigating with it all week. As a professional skipper, you should also be confident in meteorology. That is why the weather will be a central part of the training every morning. It is important to us that all participants feel comfortable on the trip. And that is why our motto is: Have fun and succeed! Training costs per week: 990€ in a double cabin, double cabin for single use 1490€ Additional costs: on-board cash for provisions, marina fees, gas, diesel, restaurant visits and final cleaning.
