Service Description

We always do our practical trips where the wind, weather and sun are at their best. During the winter months we mainly go to the Canary Islands and in spring/summer/autumn in Croatia, Italy, Greece and Mallorca. We usually sail with 4 to a maximum of 6 people on well-maintained charter and owner yachts. In the practical test, the theoretical knowledge of driving a yacht in coastal waters must be implemented and applied. In detail, the following is required with a propulsion engine and sail: Mandatory tasks - Rescue maneuvers under sail - Rescue maneuvers with engine support Both maneuvers (under sail and with engine support) must be carried out and completed with sufficient results at least on the second attempt. They must not be combined into one maneuver. Maneuvers with engine - Docking with engine - Casting off with engine Maneuvers under sail - Tacking or gybing/Q-turn - Heaving to/laying to All maneuvers with engine and under sail must be carried out with satisfactory results at least on the second attempt. Other tasks - Seamanship/skills - Safety instructions, emergency roll, handling lifebelt and lifeline, using lines when mooring or casting off (spring, fore and aft lines, line on slip) - Meteorology - Reading the weather instruments Program items for the week: - Checking in and taking over the yacht together - Provisioning - Safety instructions - Emergency rolls - Mooring/casting off with the stern to the jetty (mooring line/anchor) - Mooring/casting off sideways - Turning in a tight space - Tacking/gybing/heaving to - Reefing/unreefing - MOB maneuvers (quick stop, Q-turn, Munich maneuver, etc.) - Rescuing people with aids - Anchoring maneuvers - Sailing with an emergency tiller - Keeping a logbook Training costs per week: 990€ in a double cabin, double cabin for single use 1490€ Additional costs: on-board cash for provisions, marina fees, gas, diesel, restaurant visits and final cleaning.
